Nvidia has made good on. This makes it possible to drive macOS with 10-series cards like the popular Geforce GTX 1080, or the newly released Titan Xp. Up until now, users wishing to use modern Nvidia GPUs on a Mac were forced to use last-gen Maxwell-based hardware, such as the GTX 980 Ti and other 9-series cards. With the release of the Pascal drivers, more options have been opened up for eGPU users, legacy Mac Pro users, and Hackintosh users wishing to utilize the latest and greatest in GPU technology. You can find Nvidia’s Pascal drivers for Mac here via.

The WebDriver-378.05.05.05f01 package contains drivers for all eligible Pascal-driven GPU products from Nvidia. This means that whether you have a GTX 1050 or the latest Titan Xp, you only need to download one web driver package. I haven’t yet tested a 10-series card on macOS using my, but I plan on doing so soon (, but as always, your mileage may vary). Ultimately, my goal is to run a 10-series card in the Have you tried Nvidia’s new Pascal drivers yet for Mac? Sound off with your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below.

Related subreddits:. Hi guys, I'm running OSX on a Thinkpad T450s that has no dedicated graphics card and just an Intel HD 5500. I often find that there is a lot of graphics lag - animations aren't smooth and sometimes the screen tears or glitches (like when I open launchpad or download a file from Safari). I've also noticed that OSX reports that my 5500 only has 7 MB VRAM in the 'About Mac' menu.

I think this might be related to my graphics lag problem. Any ideas and / or fixes?

Would be interested to see if anyone else has run into this problem with this card. Hey man, thanks for responding! So currently, Windows shows that my Dedicated Video Memory is 128 mb, and a couple of guides said that thats fine (they said that OSX may not boot but it did and works fine except for the 7 mb problem). I did try to use RehabMan's 5500 plist. To use it, I: 1) Installed El Cap with Unibeast and Multibeast 2) Grabbed the 5500 plist and placed it into /EFI/Clover However, when I rebooted, OSX still only shows 7 mb dedicated vram. To mount the EFI partition in Step 2, I used Clover Configurator. Try using the 128MB DVMT +??MB Cursor patch (combined patch).

Also, search Google for Chimera ig-platform-id and see what numbers you come up with for the 5500 (there should only be two or three max). That chart usually shows the ig-platform-id's for Desktop and Laptop systems separately, so you should be OK from that point onwards. Here is a scary read on the 5500 Mobile - From another site:. To fix the graphic issue. Mount EFI with Clover Configurator Vibrant. Open Config.plist. Now go to Graphics, check Inject Intel, then paste this 0x16160002 into the ig-platform-id field.
